Qualifications:
Draft and review privacy policies
procedures
internal and external facing privacy notices to ensure compliance with privacy and cybersecurity laws Collaborate with internal teams
such as legal
information technology
engineering
and business units
to resolve complex privacy and risk management issues and to assess cybersecurity measures and response protocols Stay informed of changes and developments in privacy laws
regulations
standards
and guidance
and communicate these changes effectively to relevant stakeholders Educate and train employees in data privacy and cybersecurity to foster a culture of security and privacy Lead and manage outside counsel relationships
as necessary Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school with active bar membership
in good standing
in any US state 10+ years practicing law in a law firm or corporate legal department Confident
positive
initiative-taking creative thinker with effective critical thinking skills Demonstrated experience identifying and resolving legal issues quickly and effectively 7+ years of privacy legal work experience Demonstrated analytical experience
including assessing risk from a privacy and data protection perspective Comprehensive understanding of US and international data privacy and security laws

Responsibilities:
This role will oversee legal aspects of privacy and cybersecurity compliance throughout the Company’s global organization It will also serve as a key member of the commercial Legal team
supporting appliance sales
including the US Sales and International Sales functions Provide legal advice on privacy-related matters
including compliance with global privacy laws and regulations
